A storm chaser in Texas wanted his proposal to his girl to be epic and memorable. No doubt, he has been able to achieve that.
Alex Bartholomew told his girlfriend, Britney Fox Cayton that they were going on a routine storm chase. She had no idea that he had something wonderful planned.
“I really wanted to combine my two greatest loves into one shot,” he said when talking about his reason for doing something so extreme.
In an interview with Inside Edition, Britney said, “I had no idea, it was a complete shock. I just nodded because I couldn’t get the words out I was tearing up so bad.”
Alex posted the photo of the proposal on his Facebook page and it has since gone viral.
Jason Cooley, the man responsible for capturing the beautiful moment said, “I wanted to get the tornado right in between them. I was worried the tornado was going to disappear. The tornado waited for us. The scene was perfect.”
One would imagine that being in the midst of such impending chaos would be scary but the couple and the crew who took the photos said they were not nervous.
Evidently, being so close to a tornado ripping through Texas was not a big deal for them.
“It was better than what I imagined,” Alex said.
