This cat’s name is Omar, and he can boast about being the candidate for the longest cat in the world. In fact, now he is undergoing some measurements that will later decide the winner.
Though, Omar has all chances to beat the existing winner, who is 118.33 centimeters long. When Omar’s owner Stephy Hirst, from Melbourne, was measuring him last time, the cat was 120 centimeters and weighed 14 kilos.
They didn’t strive for popularity, but it’s hard not to notice such an awesome cat. So, after his photo had been published in the Cats of Instagram account, Omar became popular. And the representatives of Guinness World Records contacted them immediately.
As to the daily routine of Omar, it’s rather similar to what other cats are used to doing. He likes taking a nap and eating. In fact, Omar likes some kibble for breakfast and raw kangaroo for dinner.
It’s impressive, but Stephy also has two shelties living with her. So when looking at them standing near Omar, it seems that they are little puppies in contrast with the cat!
Let’s wish him luck in the competition for being acknowledged the world’s longest cat!
