Yesterday, the Duchess of Cambridge made a public appearance since announcing that she’s pregnant with her third child.
Kate Middleton was present at an event in honor of World Mental Health Day hosted by the Buckingham Palace.
According to reports, Kate was not present from the start of the event. Her husband, Prince William, and his brother, Harry, celebrated the day with a reception at St. James’s Palace. The event was aimed at honoring those behind the “Heads Together” campaign, a project whose goal it is to encourage more conversation about mental health.
Kate later joined the celebration at the palace where she and other people honored those who have contributed to the mental health sector in the UK.
In April 2016, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry started the “Heads Together” campaign. They partnered with a number of charity organizations that are working hard towards tackling the stigma that often follows mental health problems. The campaign is also aimed at providing help for those struggling with these challenges.
The princes had their own respective stakes in this fight. Harry, a former military man, is more focused on the mental problems faced by service personnel, while William is concerned with the rate of suicide, which he observed when he worked as an air ambulance pilot.
Fans of the royal family were very glad to see the Duchess again, especially for such an important cause. It was reported that she suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness. She experienced this during her two previous pregnancies. She took a break from the public eye to regain her strength, but she has now returned, sporting an adorable baby bump and looking as gorgeous as ever.
We hope this means that Kate Middleton feels much better now, and we wish her a smoother pregnancy experience.
